How do I look after my white clothes?

Keeping your white laundry bright requires a bit of care and some good habits. Follow our tips to preserve the whiteness of your fabrics, prevent yellowing or dullness, and give them a delicate freshness thanks to Bajoah laundry perfumes.

Why does white laundry turn yellow?

White laundry can yellow for several reasons:

  • Build-up of poorly rinsed detergent residues

  • Incorrect washing temperature (too low or too high)

  • Prolonged exposure to light or humidity

  • Contact with staining substances (sweat, makeup, etc.)

6 tips for effectively caring for your white laundry

1. Sort your laundry properly

Always separate white laundry from colored laundry to avoid color transfer.

2. Use the right detergent

Choose a detergent specially formulated for whites or enhance your wash with a Bajoah laundry perfume. Our formulas are concentrated at 30%, offering an intense and long-lasting fragrance while preserving the whiteness of your fabrics. Be careful not to overdose the perfume: too much can leave marks on your clothes. Usually, 5 ml is enough for a standard load.

3. Follow recommended washing temperatures

Wash your white laundry at the temperature indicated on the care label, often between 40°C and 60°C, to effectively remove stains without damaging the fibers.

4. Don’t overload your washing machine

For optimal washing, leave enough space in the drum so water and detergent can circulate well around your clothes.

5. Dry your laundry outdoors

Sunlight is a natural ally for whitening laundry. Prefer drying outside, but avoid prolonged exposure which could weaken the fibers.

6. Use your laundry perfume correctly

Our perfumes concentrated at 30% provide an intense and lasting fragrance while respecting your fabric’s whiteness. Be careful not to overdose or apply the perfume directly onto clothes: too much can leave marks. Generally, 5 ml is sufficient for a standard wash.

Additional tips

  • To revive dull whites, add some white vinegar or baking soda to your wash.

  • Avoid frequent use of fabric softener, as it can dull whites over time.

  • Treat stains promptly with an appropriate stain remover.
